Lavender

Lavender

Lavender is an aromatic plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It is widely known and cultivated for its fragrant flowers and the essential oils extracted from them. Lavender leaves are narrow, lance-shaped, and covered with fine hairs that give them a silvery tone. The flowers are small, ranging in color from blue to violet, depending on the species; they grow in spikes, grouped on long stems. The flowering period generally extends from late spring to summer.
